We wanted to do something different that wasn't affiliated with our cruise line. We did the aqua park it was alot of fun! Only down side if any was we had to swim a ways to get to it. We also did the snorkling/glass bottom boat trip. Our tour guide was marco and fernando led us in the water. They were very helpful and decribed everything we saw. They were highly knowledgeable and were very professional. We saw a huge barracuda that looked to be 5 foot long. That was one of the highlights of our entire trip. We did snorkling in costa mia and it didnt come close to the experience we had with marco and fernando. My son and i won a football challange on the beach that was cool as well. We did not eat the food there so cannot review that. Facilities were clean and all other staffers were very professional.

Our day was made at Playa Mia! They have a beach wheelchair that my daughter requires and a great setup that was easy to get around in a wheelchair. The staff was very attentive and the food! The Buffett was wonderful! We went in Aug 2015 and will be back in Nov 2017. We also can't wait to visit the Mayan Cacao Co.

While on a return visit to Dance and Salsa, my husband had a medical emergency. Personnel at Playa Mia responded immediately. He and I were taken by ambulance to International Hospital. Our fellow travelers were dispatched in a taxi, also to the hospital. A staff member from Playa Mia joined us at the hospital and did not leave us until another Playa Mia staffer put us in a taxi to return to our cruise ship.Thank you for years of fun and one day of crisis management. We will be back!
